Job Summary:
Dry Force is seeking a highly organized and motivated Asbestos Administrator to join our team in Irving, TX. This role is critical to the successful coordination and execution of asbestos-related projects and serves as a key liaison between insurance carriers, homeowners, internal teams, and abatement contractors.
The Asbestos Administrator is responsible for managing asbestos testing and abatement approvals, maintaining and updating the Abatement Tracking Report, monitoring and organizing asbestos-related communications, preparing abatement estimates, and coordinating project activities to ensure a smooth and compliant process from start to finish. This position requires the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and to maintain clear, professional communication with all stakeholders. Candidates must hold Xactimate Level 1 Certification or be willing to obtain certification within 90 days of employment
Key Responsibilities
- Insurance Estimate & Approval Management: Prepare, submit, and negotiate asbestos abatement estimates with insurance carriers to secure timely approvals for testing and abatement scopes.
- Asbestos Approval Tracking: Monitor, track, and follow up on all asbestos-related approvals to ensure deadlines are met and projects progress without delay.
- Asbestos Estimate Development: Write detailed asbestos abatement estimates using Xactimate, ensuring accuracy, code compliance, and alignment with carrier requirements.
- Email & Documentation Management: Review, organize, and clear asbestos-related emails daily, ensuring all communications, approvals, and documentation are properly recorded and distributed.
- Homeowner Communication: Communicate the asbestos testing and abatement process in real time to homeowners, answer questions, set expectations, and maintain confidence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contractor Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with asbestos testing and abatement contractors to ensure scheduling accuracy, scope alignment, and a seamless homeowner experience.
- Abatement Scheduling: Coordinate abatement timelines between homeowners, mitigation teams, and abatement contractors to ensure efficient sequencing and minimal project disruption.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Lead regular project update meetings with the mitigation team to maintain alignment between departments and ensure asbestos activities integrate smoothly with mitigation operations.
- Project Budget Management: Manage and track project-level budgets for asbestos abatement work, ensuring costs align with approved estimates and identifying variances early.
- Compliance Oversight: Audit and verify Dash compliance tasks to ensure all regulatory, documentation, and internal process requirements are met.
- Asbestos Tracking & Reporting: Maintain and update asbestos tracking sheets to support internal communication, workflow efficiency, and project visibility.
- Field Assessment Exposure: Conduct assessment site visits within 60 days of employment to gain hands-on understanding of field operations, containment setups, and abatement workflows.
- Xactimate Certification: Obtain Xactimate Level 1 Certification within 90 days of employment to effectively support estimating and insurance coordination functions
Qualifications
- Xactimate Proficiency: Xactimate Level 1 Certification required or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
- Organizational & Detail Orientation: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and ensure documentation and approvals are handled with precision.
- Execution & Follow-Through: Proven track record of consistently following through on assignments, managing deadlines, and driving tasks to completion in a high-accountability environment.
- Communication & Customer Service: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with homeowners, contractors, insurance representatives, and internal teams.
- Adaptability & Workload Management: Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing shifting priorities.
- Technical & Software Skills: Proficiency with standard office software, project tracking tools, and digital documentation systems.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in environmental services, asbestos coordination, restoration, or insurance-driven construction environments strongly preferred.
