Position Summary
The Set-Up Specialist plays a key part in Concast’s production process, preparing steel molds and materials for daily concrete production. This role involves a combination of assembly, preparation, and manual labor tasks to ensure molds and equipment are ready for efficient production of high-quality precast products.


Job Duties

  • Clean, assemble and/or reassemble steel mold components based on instructions and production requirements.
  • Use basic hand tools and power tools including but not limited to scraper, hammer, tape measure, impact driver, and concrete vibrators.
  • Follow work instructions accurately to maintain consistency and quality standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement, team meetings and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Learn and apply concrete manufacturing techniques and procedures used at Concast, Inc.
  • Perform clean-up, organization, and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple task and priorities effectively.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work with constantly changing production needs.
  • Acute attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work with general direction and minimal guidance.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision.
  • Strong understanding of and adherence to all safety requirements.
  • Physically capable of performing manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and use hands for handling materials and operating equipment.
  • Frequent climbing, stooping, and reaching.
  • Continual exposure to loud noises, moving machinery, and varying weather conditions.
  • Regularly required to lift or carry 25–50 lbs; occasional lifting of heavier materials.
  • Requires visual acuity to read measurements, operate tools, and perform quality checks.
  • Work performed in both indoor and outdoor manufacturing settings.

Pay & Benefits 

  • Pay range: $23.00 – $25.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
