Forklift Operator 1 - Full-time

Job Title: Forklift Operator 1

Reports to: Shipping/Receiving Supervisor 

Position Status: Hourly

 

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Forklift Operator 1 is responsible for safely operating a standard sit down, stand-up forklift or end rider to move, load, and unload materials within a warehouse, manufacturing, or assembly area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely maneuver a forklift to pick up, transport, and place pallets of goods throughout the warehouse or production floor
• Efficiently load and unload materials from delivery trucks and containers using the forklift and/or end rider
• Perform Cycle Count activities as scheduled in warehouse management system (Mobile Warehousing)
• Performing pre-shift and post-shift equipment checks, identifying potential issues and reporting any maintenance needs
• Ensure compliance with safety, proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment),and professional standards within the facility.
• Complete necessary inventory movements ex. Bin to Bin transfers in warehouse management system (Mobile Warehousing)
• Ability to utilize stretch wrap machine for packaging prior to shipment
• Keeping a neat a clean work area
• Properly disposing of packaging material and safely operating baler machine
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Business English, Bilingual English – Spanish is desirable.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Familiarity with ERP systems preferably Epicor.
• Comfortable with Technology and handheld devices

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Standard Forklift Certification
