Job Summary:
Support the mission and vision of Concordia College and demonstrate the competencies as defined for this position.
- Provide audio support for live events, including recording and streaming of campus events – 60%
- Assist in planning, implementation and supervision of campus sound events – 20%
- Assist with networked and stand-alone audio processors – 5%
- Assist with student staff training – 5%
- Managing, maintaining and cleaning campus audio equipment including mixers, amps, speakers, microphones and stands – 5%
- Stay current and knowledgeable with new and evolving technology and trends in the professional audio field– 5%
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years audio technician degree plus two years related experience or equivalent education and experience
- Understanding of audio electronics and the physics of sound
- Understanding of networked and distributed professional sound systems
- Functioning knowledge of multiple digital mixer formats and brands
- Knowledge of sound design, line array and point source audio setup and implementation
- Planning and setup of multiple events that happen simultaneously
- Working knowledge of Pro Tools or other DAW software
- An acute and trained sense of hearing
Preferred:
- Audio rigging experience
- Basic video switcher and signal routing experience
