$15.50 - $18.50Job Description:
The Scheduler I is a Full Time, Regular position working Monday-Friday 11am-7:30pm CST with rotating Saturdays 10am-6:30pm CST approximately every 7 weeks at the Navani Business Center, a wholly owned Inland Imaging company in Arlington, TX.Summary: Schedulers are responsible for assisting patients and referring physicians and their staff in scheduling exams at an Inland Imaging facility. The scheduling department is generally the first contact with Inland Imaging so the Scheduler must present a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor.

- Provides high quality customer service by:
- Listening to patients’ and referring providers’ requests for exams, times and locations
- Asks the appropriate questions to get information needed to schedule exams
- Relays exam specific patient preparatory information as appropriate
- Completes phone call with a professional closing
- Updates patient demographics as needed
- Adds patient’s current insurance information and update as needed
- Verifies insurance eligibility for all exams
- Knowledge of which insurance carries require prior authorization and for which exams
- Schedules requested exams to maximize equipment utilization by time and location, review open slots
- Schedules all General Exams; Mammography, Bone Density, Ultrasound/Vascular, General Radiology and Nuclear Medicine exams and procedures
- Knowledge of all required preparation for all general exams.
- Uses multiple resources and or applications to obtain necessary information for scheduled exams
- Follows protocols for scheduling procedures and knowledge of what radiologist can perform each procedure.
- Keeps current on all scheduling protocols and update manual as needed
- Knowledge of when to order Labs or History physical for an exam
- Interacts with Radiologist, Nurses, and Technologists frequently
- Communicates changes in the patient schedule, STATS, nurse requirements, add-ons, etc. to appropriate parties
- Reviews next days assigned schedule to:
- Maximizes equipment utilization by time, location and specialty slot
- Accounts for changes in the physician’s schedule
- Calls patients to re-schedule exams as needed
- Handles high call volume while maintaining efficiency and accuracy when scheduling exams
- Calls patients to schedule exams and makes follow up calls as needed
- Verifies and or clarify orders with referring provider prior to scheduling
- Knowledge of order identification and processes
- Routes documents to appropriate document filters for processing
- Coordinates patient care between technologists and radiologist to facilitate a smooth workflow
- Acts as a liaison between staff, management, and physicians
- Coordinates interpreters for patient’s appointments
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Rotates to other shifts as needed.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED required
- Experience:
- One year of medical office experience required
- One year of previous scheduling experience preferred
- Anatomy and medical terminology preferred.
- Understanding of procedures to be read by radiologist preferred
- Computer Skills: Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Outlook; Workday, Siemens/Medicalis, and Qgenda.
- Background Check:
- Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults
- In order to comply with provisions set forth in Sections 1128 and 1156 of the Social Security Act, all new employees of Inland Imaging Clinical Associates, LLC will be checked against the LIST OF EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS provided by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Inspector General (OIG). Employees must not be included on this list.
