Entry Level Mechanic

Position Requirements and Responsibilities

• Minimum Education required:  HS Diploma or GED
• Minimum Experience Required:  1-3 years
• Uses safe working practices and follows all company safety requirements
• Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Assist experienced mechanic with complex repairs
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions
• Repairing and replacing defective parts and components
• Assisting with ordering and inventory of parts and supplies
• Conducting performance tests and adjustments
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs
• Ensuring that all safety protocols are followed
• Performing diagnostic tests on cars, trucks, and other vehicles
• Repairing, maintaining, and performing routine inspections of vehicles
• Performing light maintenance and repairs which include lube, oil, and filter changes, balancing and rotation of tires and flushing cooling systems.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Clean and professional appearance
• Attends training as requested and needed
