Roving Maintenance Technician
Apartment Services, Inc.
Full-Time | On-Call Rotation Required | Travel Between Properties Required

Job Overview:
Apartment Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled and reliable Roving Maintenance Technician to join our team! In this role, you’ll travel between multiple residential properties to perform general maintenance, respond to service requests, and ensure that our communities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance at multiple properties
  • Complete resident service requests within 24 hours
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and household appliances
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness and condition of building interiors and exteriors
  • Inspect and maintain smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire protection systems
  • Perform seasonal tasks, including snow removal, salting, shoveling, and pretreating walkways
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies (phone response within 15 minutes, on-site within 30 minutes)
  • Keep maintenance shop organized and ensure tools are available and in working order
  • Document maintenance activity and report updates to the Service Supervisor
  • Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintain security protocols and safeguard property keys
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building systems
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance tools and repair methods
  • Ability to manage time, follow directions, and work independently
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license is required
  • Use of a personal vehicle during each shift is mandatory
  • Must be physically able to stand, walk, kneel, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work in varying weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
  • Reliable phone number and email address required
  • Must be available for emergency calls and winter weather events
  • Willingness to work at different company properties as assigned
