Location: Cape Fear Family Medical Care – Fayetteville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexibility required between 7:00 AM–6:00 PM)
About the Opportunity
Cape Fear Family Medical Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA) to join our patient‑focused primary care team. This is a full‑time onsite role supporting a busy family medicine practice. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering excellent patient care in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
Compensation
Hourly Range: $16.00 – $21.00, based on experience
Position Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting providers and ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the clinic. Responsibilities include rooming patients, collecting vital signs, and performing in‑house diagnostic testing such as EKGs, pulmonary function tests (PFT), ankle‑brachial index (ABI), and administering immunizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
- Collect and document vital signs accurately
- Perform in‑house clinical testing, including:
- EKG
- Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)
- Ankle‑Brachial Index (ABI)
- Immunizations
- Support general clinical operations as assigned
- Maintain a clean, organized, and patient‑ready clinical environment
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure high‑quality patient care
Education & Experience
- Required: Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA)
- Experience:
- New graduates welcome — training provided
- Candidates with prior medical office or clinical experience strongly preferred
Certifications & Licenses
- RMA/CMA certification required
- Additional clinical certifications (e.g., BLS) may be discussed during the interview process
