About the Role:
The 3rd Shift VPT-Machine Operator for MTO Plug plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of specialized machinery during overnight production hours. This position is responsible for setting up, monitoring, and maintaining VPT machines to produce high-quality MTO plugs that meet strict manufacturing standards. The operator will work independently during the third shift, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Collaboration with team members and shift supervisor is essential to uphold safety protocols and continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to meeting production targets and maintaining the overall reliability of the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor VPT machines to manufacture MTO plugs according to production specifications and quality standards.
- Perform machine setup, calibration, and adjustments to optimize performance and product quality.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure machines operate safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues promptly, coordinating with maintenance personnel as needed.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any deviations or incidents to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support continuous improvement and meet production goals.
