Job Summary:
\n A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Rural OB/GYN department provides comprehensive care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecology, and nursery Level I and II patients. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while prioritizing the needs of the family unit. This role includes directing assigned personnel and ensuring adherence to established standards and practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of nursing experience (minimum).
\n
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
\n
• Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice or compact.
\n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
\n
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
\n
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
\n

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Perigen and EPIC systems.
\n

Additional Information:

• Responsibilities include performing initial assessments, developing and modifying care plans, implementing nursing interventions, and maintaining accurate documentation.

• Proficiency in procedures such as fetal heart monitoring, vaginal exams, and administration of tocolytic agents.

• Ability to provide patient education on peri-care, breast care, diet, and post-delivery/surgical activities.

• Participation in maternal patient transfers and orientation/training of staff as assigned.
