NeuroPraxis is California's premiere in-home and community-based rehabilitation program for individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries. Our interdisciplinary team incorporates technological advancements and innovative rehabilitation techniques to help clients overcome their TBI and/or SCI-related physical, emotional, and social challenges. We provide comprehensive rehabilitation programs customized to the unique needs of each patient and believe that individualized care is essential to a successful rehabilitation journey.
Role Description
NeuroPraxis is seeking an Occupational Therapist (Independent Contractor) to provide telehealth and/or in-person occupational therapy services in Santa Maria, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Sacramento, and Stockton areas. This role involves delivering home- and community-based therapy services to individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries.
The Occupational Therapist will conduct evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with NeuroPraxis’ interdisciplinary team to deliver goal-oriented, client-centered rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-person occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapy services in home and community settings
- Document services and progress in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support client goals
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care partners in Spanish and English
Qualifications
- Current California Occupational Therapist license in good standing
- Spanish-speaking is preferred but not required
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Experience working with individuals with brain injury and/or spinal cord injury
- Ability to work independently as an independent contractor
- Experience in home-based or community-based therapy preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Pediatric experience is a plus, but not required
