Emergency Medicine locums in Louisiana at a Level 3 trauma center with steady volume, no call, and multiple 12 hour shift options to fit your calendar.

Practice Setting

• Outpatient emergency department, Level 3 trauma center
• 40 to 50 patients per 24 hours through the ED
• All ages
• 24 hour overlap with additional MD coverage and APP support

Schedule

• Ongoing coverage need for 12 hour shifts
• Shift options include 6a to 6p, 10a to 10p, 6p to 6a
• No call requirements
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 3 months, plan ahead for a smooth start

Cases and Procedures

• General ED acuity with Level 3 trauma coverage
• Airway management and intubations
• Central and arterial line placement
• Chest tube placement

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
• Louisiana medical license, or Open to IMLC Physicians with an Active IMLC LOQ
• Cerner charting
