Position Summary
CREO is a PE-backed, industry-leading manufacturing company producing innovative, sustainable household products for indoor and outdoor living. The company generates $400M in annual revenue and has 1,000 employees across US, Mexico and Asia. Products are primarily sold through big-box retailers across the United States.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for operating the day-to-day accounting functions for CREO Group, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records, including core accounting functions, month-end close, financial reporting, audit support, process improvements, financial analyses, calculations, and posting/validation duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining complete and accurate accounting records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
Major Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain General Ledger integrity and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance
- Partner with FP&A and operational teams to analyze variances and trends
- Support implementation and improvement of accounting policies, processes, and internal controls
- Assist with special projects, including system implementations and process automation initiatives, as requested
- Assist with M&A, integrations, and due diligence activities, as applicable
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required)
- 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting preferred)
- Corporate Consolidation, M&A, and Private Equity experience preferred
- CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
