ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This position is designed to support accurate, ethical autism diagnoses while ensuring families receive clear guidance and appropriate next steps.
The Licensed Psychologist’s primary responsibility is to conduct autism diagnostic evaluations for children whose presenting concerns are consistent with Autism Spectrum Disorder. When assessment findings indicate that a child does not meet criteria for an autism diagnosis, the expectation is to provide clear clinical feedback and refer the family to an external provider for further evaluation or alternative diagnoses.
This role is not intended to provide diagnostic services for conditions outside of autism, such as ADHD or other behavioral or developmental disorders. Maintaining this focused scope allows the Licensed Psychologist to work at the top of their license, preserve clinical integrity, and dedicate their time to evaluations aligned with Autism 360’s clinical services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conduct comprehensive, evidence-based autism diagnostic evaluations
· Complete in-person assessments
· Utilize standardized diagnostic tools and clinical judgment to determine ASD criteria
· Communicate findings clearly and compassionately to families

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS
· Licensed Psychologist (LP) in the state of North Carolina (or license-eligible)
· Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited program
· Formal training and experience in autism diagnostic assessment
· Proficiency with standardized tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, or equivalent
· Eligibility to practice in compliance with state and federal regulations
IDEAL BACKGROUND
· Experience conducting pediatric autism evaluations
· Comfort working in a center-based, onsite clinical model
· Strong diagnostic judgment and confidence setting clinical boundaries
· Clear, empathetic communication style with families
· Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
POSITION DETAILS
· Full- time, salaried role
· Competitive salary starting at $100K based on experience
