Summary
The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating initiatives and process improvement projects in support of MedPOINT’s HIT operations. Under the supervision of Manager, HIT Operations, the Project Coordinator will be responsible to support various strategic initiatives as directed by HIT Leadership. This position is integral for effective planning, managing, and implementation of high importance projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Coordinate projects in support of HIT strategic efforts
· Research, gather, and analyze data to prepare reports for review and action by HIT and MPM Leadership
· Develop clear and concise materials in response to internal and external requests
· Follow and execute upon the project methodology as directed by HIT Leadership
· Oversee project plans, timelines, and documentation of all implemented changes (both procedural and organizational) to effectively meet project requirements and maintain a proactive approach
· Establish and/or revise existing MedPOINT documents (i.e., Policies and Procedures and workflows) as dictated by project development
· Collaborate with other business stakeholders as needed to meet project deliverables
· Provide frequent, detailed communication to business owners on project development and status
· Provide staff support to projects such as coordinating activities and agenda, managing meeting minutes, and organizing meetings and teleconferences
· Train other MPM teammates in support of efficient operations
· Research and build the knowledge base for HIT initiatives by pursuing self-study in areas regarding best practices, regulatory compliance, and operational improvements that could benefit own role, as well as MPM operations
Minimum Job Requirements
· High School Diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
· 2+ years of project-based work experience preferred
· Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
· Experience with writing formal documents and policies
· Experience and interest in process improvement, establishing best practice, and leadership development
· Experience in data analytics, preferred
Skill and Abilities
· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage several projects at the same time
· Exceedingly organized and detail oriented, with excellent problem solving and time management skills
· Ability to work well in a rapidly changing environment and to re prioritize work accordingly
· Ability to work directly and independently with executive leadership and external stakeholders
· Ability to generate, interpret, and summarize data and reports
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
