COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• $17.00–$19.00 per hour, paid weekly

• Full-time, 40 hours per week

• Monday–Sunday (5-day schedule, 2 days off per week)

• Shift: 12:30 PM – 9:30 PM

• W2 employment

ROLE IMPACT

As a Dietary Utility Aide, you play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment that supports patient care and food service excellence. Your work ensures compliance with hospital safety standards while keeping the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. This position directly supports patient satisfaction and operational success through diligent attention to cleanliness and teamwork.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment following hospital standards

• Operate and maintain industrial dishwashing machinery

• Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, and work areas in the dish room and kitchen

• Support material handling and restocking of supplies as directed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required

• 1–2 years of food service or custodial experience in hospital, institutional, or commercial kitchens preferred

• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and sanitation procedures

• Must have a valid Texas Food Handler’s Card prior to start date and maintain certification

EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Operate commercial dishwashers and floor-cleaning equipment

• Work in hot, humid environments with continuous standing and lifting (up to 40 lbs)

• Maintain adherence to hospital infection control and safety standards

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Previous experience in healthcare or high-volume kitchen settings

• Familiarity with infection prevention and sanitation protocols

• Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail
