Test Driver

Location: New Hope, PA / Lambertville, NJ
Position Type: Contract
Pay: $20/hr
Residency Status: US Citizen or Green Card Holder only

We are seeking multiple Test Drivers for a short-term roadway testing project. This role involves driving pre-determined routes in both live traffic and a controlled, closed-course environment to support roadway audits and on-site testing activities.

Project Details

• Start Date: March 11, 2026
• Duration: Approximately 5 weeks
• Location: New Hope, PA / Lambertville, NJ area
• Drivers will travel through public roads to reach the test site and operate vehicles in a closed testing area on the New Hope–Lambertville Route 202 Toll Bridge
• Vehicles will be provided; drivers will report to a designated location to pick up and return rental vehicles daily

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned routes on a set schedule to generate transactions for roadway audits
• Drive specific scenarios during on-site testing in a closed-course environment
• Safely operate rental vehicles in both public traffic and controlled testing areas
• Provide basic administrative and operational support to the Test Engineer team as needed

Schedule & Working Conditions

• On-site arrival at approximately 8:30 AM, with testing beginning around 9:00 AM
• Lunch timing may vary based on testing progress (45–60 minutes)
• Short breaks provided throughout the day
• At least one night of driving expected during the project, with possible additional evening or overtime hours during testing and dry runs
• Work will continue during standard rain or snow; protocols will be provided for severe weather
• Drivers must bring their own meals, snacks, phone, and car charger, as communication may occur via Teams during testing

Requirements

• Minimum age: 21
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check
• Comfortable driving in live traffic, construction areas, and closed-course environments
• Experience driving with a single-axle trailer, including backing up and parking, is a plus (one role will involve a trailer)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing testing schedules
