Your Role:

The Research Associate is involved in supporting the development and improvement of the multiomics sequencing platform including chemistry workflows and internal / external manufacturing. The Research Associate is responsible for preparing sequencing chemistry reagents for the sequencing team/internal manufacturing and helping with instrument set up and maintenance. Additionally, this role is part of a multidisciplinary effort and works collaboratively with the leads of the other teams to integrate these reagents into overall platform workflows.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and run instruments in support of multiomics sequencing platform.
  • Organize internally manufactured reagents and shipments to internal production teams.
  • Prepare sequencing chemistry reagents and carry out lab procedures and SOPs (buffer and other kit components).
  • Provide basic data reports for consolidation of results and manage inventory of solvents and chemicals within the chemistry team.
  • DNA synthesis and maintenance of instruments, as needed.
  • Organic chemistry: wet lab for conjugation/ linker installation dye labeling.
  • Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team both locally and internationally.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with EHS requirements. · Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • BSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field.
  • Good organization skills and ability to take initiative.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of, and hands-on experience with, manufacturing processes.
  • Software Skills, especially with MS Office and Excel.
  • Self-motivated and team oriented.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Hands on experience with analytical / prep HPLC and flash purification.
  • Familiarity with buffer preparation, NGS, and oligonucleotide synthesis is a plus.
  • Hands on experience with wet organic chemistry (synthesis and purification) is a plus.

Generally, this job is performed in a sanitized laboratory setting and routinely uses standard medical and research equipment such as centrifuges, biosafety cabinets, microscopes, incubators, pipettes and computers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to blood, viruses, bacteria, body fluids and other tissues. Employees entering and leaving the laboratory must wear appropriate clothing and protective equipment such as scrubs, coveralls, masks, glasses and gloves. The hiring range for this position is expected to fall between $32.64 - $38.41/hour, reflecting the range candidates can reasonably expect to be considered for at time of offer, based on factors such as experience, internal equity, and qualifications. 

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of considerations, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above range represents the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.

All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions may also be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
