Position Summary:
Develops, coordinates, and supervises high quality YMCA aquatic programs.
Essential Functions:
- Monitors daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local and YMCA health and safety regulations.
- Responsible for the safety of members, recognizing and responding effectively to emergencies.
- Responsible for the daily physical operation of the pool; supervise and schedule for the effective use and maintenance of the aquatic facilities.
- Enforce all facility policies, rules and regulations, and complete records and reports regarding the following: hourly member attendance, water chemistry, incidents and accidents.
- Assists with lifeguarding, swim instruction, First Aid and CPR trainings.
- Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
- Monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
- Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special events.
- Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner.
10. Assists with Program Committee meetings.
11. Facilitate timely and appropriate responses to member comments/complaints.
12. Serves as on-deck coordinator when no guarding/teaching.
13. Carry out additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years related experience preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include: CPR-Pro, First Aid, O2, AED, Hazardous Communications, Respirator Training.
- Completion of YMCA program-specific and trainer certifications, including: Life Guard Instructor, Swim Lesson Trainer, P.O.O.L. or CPO.
- Must pass Level 2 Background Screening. Level 2 is a fingerprint check of state and federal criminal history information conducted through the Florida Department of law Enforcement (FDLE) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Physical Demands:
Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to supervise program activities.
