Laundry Aide

Bethany Village is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to support the daily collection, cleaning, and redistribution of resident and facility laundry at the Manor Nursing Home. This role plays an important part in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for those we serve. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows safety standards, and works well both independently and as part of a team. 

Position Overview:

Collection, cleaning and redistribution of facility and residents' laundry. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pickups from campus facilities, washing, drying, folding, and delivering of resident laundry.
• Selecting proper settings for washing and chemical disbursement
• Refilling cleaning agents in solution center.
• Cleaning of lint filters and traps.
• Disinfecting of folding areas.
• Maintaining appropriate par levels. 

Basic Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintaining clean and safe work environment - daily cleaning of laundry department.
• Selecting proper drying temperatures and times.
• Training of new employees.
• Adheres to all established safety regulations. 
• Endorses and complies with the Vision, objectives, procedures, and policies of Bethany Village and the maintenance department.

Requirements

Education Required:

• High School diploma/ GED recommended for this position.
• Ability to communicate with Supervisor and Co-Workers a must.

Experience Required:

• Minimum training time of one month should be expected to satisfactorily perform this job.

Additional Qualifications:

• Must be able to communicate with staff, residents, and the families of the residents.
• Multi-tasking, ability to work under pressure and prioritizing are beneficial to successful performance in this position.
