About this job

The Key Program, Inc. is currently seeking a Part-Time (8-16 hours per week) Occupational Therapist to work with adolescent male and female clients within our group home programs located in Pittsfield, MA. The hours available are flexible but would need to include after-school and/or weekend hours.

 Qualifications:

  • Initial certification by National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy  
  • Current licensing by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board   
  • Registered with the State Board of Registration in Allied Health Professionals    
  • Two years of experience as an occupational therapist, preferably in school system or other pediatric practice setting      

Total Compensation: $43.50 - 46.50 per hour 

   Responsibilities: 

  • Provide direct Occupational Therapy evaluations and re-evaluations, including assessment of prior and current level of function.
  • Setting individualized goals and making discharge recommendations in accordance with standards of practice. 
  • Provide direct OT treatments according to standards of practice, including child and family education, progression of treatment plan and implementation of appropriate therapeutic interventions. 
  • Report on child’s progress through appropriate written documentation including evaluation forms, progress notes, education forms. 
  • Collaborate with physicians, social workers, children, family, and other members of the health care team relative to the child’s treatment and progress as well as other affiliated agencies with regard to effective discharge planning.
