TITLE:   Substitute Clerical 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Possess high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Possess or ability to obtain a fingerprint clearance card.
3. Require knowledge to operate standard office equipment and machines.
4. Ability to relate to staff, public and students in a positive manner.
5. Ability to handle confidential material.
6. Ability to perform general clerical duties.
7. Ability to follow instructions.
8. Require an excellent command of the English language, spelling and punctuation.
9. Ability to perform general bookkeeping tasks.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Act as receptionist for the school.
2. Answer phone, take and deliver messages.
3. Compose and type routine correspondence.
4. Perform work in accordance with established office procedures.
5. Distribute daily mail.
6. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality
7. Supervise and release students to parents/guardians as necessary.
8. Operate equipment safely; understand and apply safety-related precautions as outlined in SDS (safety data sheets).
9. Contribute to the team by accomplishing additional duties as assigned.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English as well as the ability to write routine correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively in English before groups of customer or employees.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations / issues. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and verbal form.

 

 

SUPERVISION:

Supervised by the Principal.  Exercises no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Grade    Salary Schedule 

Grade D   $17.19-$20.75/hour (DOE)

Substitute/On Call position
