The Learning Experience is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Cook / Support Staff member to join our team!
In this dual-role position, you’ll primarily assist our Preschool Cook with daily kitchen operations, and you’ll also help support classrooms when teachers are out—making you a valued part of our center’s success.

As an Assistant Cook / Support Staff, you will:
In the Kitchen:
- Assist with planning, preparing, and serving healthy meals and snacks for preschool children.
- Help maintain allergy lists and ensure each classroom receives accurate allergy information with every food delivery.
- Support food safety, sanitation, and proper storage procedures.
- Assist with inventory, organization, and putting away weekly food orders.
In the Classrooms:
- Step into classrooms as needed to support teachers during staff absences.
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
What We’re Looking For:
- A team player who is flexible, reliable, and excited to help wherever needed.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in food prep, cooking, childcare, or a related support role (preferred but not required).
- Ability to obtain a food handling certificate within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and be on your feet for portions of the day.
- A positive attitude and passion for working with young children.
