Position Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Technician to perform the physical installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic and low-voltage systems in the field. This role requires hands-on expertise with all types of fiber splicing and installation, along with the ability to work collaboratively with technicians, lead techs, and project managers to deliver high-quality work. This position supports projects throughout NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey and represents our commitment to professional, clean, and reliable installations. 

Responsibilities: 

• Candidate must be proficient in performing Fusion Splicing and at least one of the following:
• Air Blown / Jetting
• Mechanical (Uni Cam) Terminations
• Ribbon fiber splicing
• Install and support low-voltage systems
• Pull, route, and secure low-voltage cabling per specifications
• Test and troubleshoot fiber using industry-standard tools (OTDR, power meter, light source)
• Submit daily field reports outlining work completed and project status
• Interface professionally with customers on job sites, representing the company with integrity
• Maintain a clean, organized job site daily and upon project completion
• Follow all safety procedures and industry best practices

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on fiber experience
• Extensive knowledge of fiber installation and troubleshooting
• Proven experience with all types of fiber splicing
• Ability to commute reliably to job sites throughout NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, crouching, and prolonged standing
• OSHA 30 and SST 10 physical cards required
