Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday-Friday 5:00AM-1:30PM (approved co-op schedules considered)

American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO) is seeking a motivated, entry-level Electrician I to join our Manufacturing team. This role is ideal for recent high school or technical school graduates, individuals early in their electrical career, or current high school seniors enrolled in an approved co-op or work-study program.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Use electrical tools, machines, and meters to perform assigned tasks safely and accurately
  • Read and follow electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
  • Perform basic electrical maintenance tasks throughout the manufacturing plant
  • Wire motors, resistors, push-button stations, and related components
  • Fabricate and install festooning for crane and hoist systems
  • Bend, thread, and install conduit using hydraulic and hand tools
  • Install electrical components such as enclosures, junction boxes, limit switches, and conduit
  • Adapt to assigned duties and continue learning new skills to support production

What We’re Looking For:

Education & Training

  • High school diploma or GED (required), or
  • Current high school senior enrolled in an electrical or technical co-op program
  • Technical or vocational electrical training preferred (completed or in progress)


Experience

  • 0–3 years of related electrical experience or
  • 0 years with completed electrical or technical training

REQUIREMENTS

  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
  • Ability to verify identity and employment authorization (Form I-9)
  • Eligibility to access information or technology governed by U.S. export control laws (including 10 C.F.R. Part 810, EAR, and/or ITAR), where applicable
  • Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with applicable laws
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screen in accordance with company policy and randomize drug screens during employment
  • Ability to meet the posted work schedule and work required hours
  • Ability to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Willingness to follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Willingness to wear appropriate PPE when in or around the shop areas
  • Willingness to complete required safety and compliance trainings
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to maintain professional conduct aligned with company values and expectations


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

  • Ability to work on-site, 1st shift for full-time hours Monday-Friday 5:00AM-1:30PM (approved co-op schedules considered)
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform confined space work
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and use hands for extended periods
  • Ability to work safely around live electrical systems, moving machinery, noise, heat, and vibration
  • Willingness to follow all safety policies and wear required PPE (Safety glasses, Steel-toe boots, hearing protection, gloves, etc)
  • Ability to read and follow electrical drawings, schematics, and work instructions in English
  • Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and complete required safety training and ongoing trainings as needed
  • Certain positions and projects may require the ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to nuclear facilities in compliance with NRC regulations (10 C.F.R. Parts 26 & 73)

  • Regular exposure to machinery, electrical systems, and moving equipment
  • Occasional exposure to heat, fumes, vibration, and noise
