Founded in 2002, Operation Homefront is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military and veteran families by improving their financial, emotional, and social well-being. Operation Homefront is sourcing candidates for a Senior Regional Director, Programs position in Operation Homefront’s West Region (all states west of and including New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana acceptable).
The Sr. Regional Director, Programs provides leadership and direction to Regional Team to accomplish the organization’s mission, to build strong, stable, and secure military and veteran families by improving their financial, emotional, and social well-being. This position works closely with HQ OH, the OH CIO and the Family Support Services team to provide leadership, management and direction to regional team to ensure success of OH programs and community engagement activities in designated territory.
Desired candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Management, Project Management, Business Administration or related field desired. Master’s Degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in nonprofit organization with social services programs desired
- 2 years of experience in field operations, including Board development, fundraising, outreach, and program delivery desired
- Experience or working knowledge of the greater local Metropolitan area preferred
- Experience with military families and programs preferred
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass MVR check (annual)
- Experience with MS Office programs, ability to use standard suite of IT tools
- 100/300/100 personal auto coverage
Primary job duties include:
- Responsible for leadership and management of regional plans, activities, and personnel, reporting to the CIO. Manages and coordinates programs, public relations activities and other outreach activities, to include speaking to community groups and military leadership about programs and services. Support the Volunteer Team and Regional Team in coordinating and enhancing volunteer engagement initiatives as needed.
- Responsible for developing and executing an annual regional budget and management of monthly reporting.
- Supports development team with PEP activations and donor stewardship on the regional level to include programmatic in kind as necessary.
- Acts as primary regional contact for other departments to address the needs of the organization
- Ensures organizational compliance with all applicable laws and established policies and procedures, collaborating with HR as needed to ensure adherence to state-specific requirements and following HR’s guidance in these matters.

Other Details:
General office and sedentary. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator. Manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Ability to drive a motor vehicle and travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events as needed. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
