Duration: 04 Month Contract (Possibility of extension or conversion)
Shift: Monday - Friday - 6:00 am - 3:00 pm, Rotational Saturdays
Pay Rate: $17–$22.06/hour (W2) (Based on experience and education)

Job Summary
Position Summary
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, providing professional and compassionate service to patients during routine health visits and critical healthcare decisions. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures.
The PSR I build trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures clearly and performing specimen collection in a safe, accurate, and skilful manner. This position requires strong leadership behaviours, process excellence, attention to detail, and strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily assigned activities accurately and on time under the direction of the Area Supervisor.
- Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established practices and compliance standards.
- Perform venipuncture and capillary collections on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing with a high level of accuracy.
- Maintain required documentation and records in compliance with company policies.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and data accuracy at all times.
- Create a safe, clean, and professional environment.
- Provide clear explanations to patients to promote comfort, trust, and confidence.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive company image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Maintain flexibility to support staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call assignments, and overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
Experience
- Minimum of 6 months of direct phlebotomy experience (Required)
- 1+ year of direct phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment (Preferred)
- Keyboard and data entry experience (Required)

- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including paediatric and geriatric collections
