FULL DESCRIPTION:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts, castings, assemblies, purchased components, and materials at various stages of the manufacturing process.
• Conduct inspections in accordance with applicable standards, including but not limited to MSS SP-55, API, ASTM, ANSI/HI, ASME, and ISO.
• Determine appropriate inspection methods to verify specifications and critical dimensions, selecting and using the necessary gauges, fixtures, indicators, and measurement equipment.
• Read, interpret, and inspect parts based on engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Prepare and complete inspection reports, including First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process inspections, final inspections, certified inspections, RMAs, and final inspection of pump orders prior to shipment.
• Document and process Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) for parts that do not meet specifications.
• Inspect incoming purchased materials and components, including review of supplier documentation and disposition.
• Work closely with Receiving, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to determine the appropriate disposition of materials and parts.
• Perform inspections based on work orders and accurately record inspection start and completion times in the manufacturing system (Global Shop).
• Assist with internal audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions as assigned by the Quality Manager or Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential quality records and documentation.
• Follow all safety rules, procedures, and established operating practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The selected candidate will also possess:

• Experience operating and programming CMM equipment (PC-DMIS preferred).
• Experience in pump, valve, or rotating equipment manufacturing. Ability to perform close visual work, including visual inspection of small parts, reading detailed drawings, viewing computer screens, and using precision measuring devices.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional standing or walking.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 pounds occasionally.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, pinching, typing, and operating inspection equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively through spoken and written English.
• Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and information in a manufacturing environment.

Salary Range: $26-28/hour
