Job Description

The Inventory Control Senior Specialist is an experienced individual contributor responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, transactional integrity, and compliant material-handling processes across inbound, storage, and outbound operations. Reporting to the Inbound and Receiving Supervisor, this role provides advanced technical expertise in inventory control and serves as a key resource to the warehouse and supply chain teams.

The Senior Specialist performs complex inventory activities, leads cycle count programs, investigates discrepancies, and ensures accurate ERP (SAP) transactions while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and cold chain requirements. This position contributes to process improvement initiatives, supports operational coordination, and provides functional guidance to peers, without direct supervisory responsibility.

Essential Duties

  • Perform and support cycle counting activities, reconciliation processes, and variance investigations in alignment with established procedures.
  • Execute accurate and timely ERP (SAP) inventory transactions and maintain required documentation and traceability.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and escalate risks or trends to the Supervisor for resolution.
  • Manage compliant storage and handling of finished goods and raw‑material inventory, including hazardous, cold‑chain, and medical device materials.
  • Act as a subject matter resource for inventory control processes and provide day-to-day guidance to team members as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Support workload coordination and task prioritization to maintain efficient material flow across receiving, storage, and shipping activities.
  • Assist the Supervisor with implementing operational priorities and process improvements.
  • Review and analyze operational data to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improved efficiency or accuracy.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to workflows, layouts, or transaction processes.
  • Prepare reports or summaries that support operational reviews and management visibility.
  • Maintain adherence to safety standards, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements, including cold chain handling practices.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by ensuring documentation accuracy and process compliance.
  • Reinforce 5S standards and established warehouse procedures.
  • Support on-the-job training efforts related to inventory processes and best practices.
  • Assist with maintaining SOPs, work instructions, and operational documentation as directed.
  • Perform detailed work accurately and in an organized manner.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Qualifications
  • Experience in inventory control, materials management, warehouse operations, or related supply chain functions.
  • Working knowledge of cycle counting, reconciliation, and variance investigation.
  • ERP/WMS experience required, SAP preferred.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and compliance expectations.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment or complete required training.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Exposure to process improvement or project support activities.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing support or outbound logistics workflows.
  • Experience maintaining SOPs, work instructions, or operational documentation.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics and quality systems.
  • Leadership or team‑lead experience.

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least February 18, 2026 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $29.42 - $45.97/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
