Front Desk Receptionist

Starting Pay: $16.00 plus tips and quarterly bonus for meeting sales goals.

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in our Peoria or East Peoria location. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing exceptional customer service while promoting growth of the business. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. The Front Desk Receptionist plays a vital role in providing a welcoming, safe, clean, and fun environment for the customers, staff and the dogs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and clients warmly, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Answer phones, respond to e-mail inquiries, and follow up with potential leads professionally and efficiently
  • Manage existing customer accounts and onboard new customers using Data Dawg
  • Ability to multi-task including data entry, processing payments (both in terminal and manual) and next day prep work
  • Engage with pet parents by explaining the Camper Interview process and educating them on the benefits of daycare and socialization for their dog(s)
  • Provide tours for customers interested in learning more about our services
  • Upsell auxiliary services such as grooming and enrichments with a focus on achieving monthly sales goals
  • Check In/Out dogs as they come to Camp
  • Schedule reservations for daycare, boarding, and grooming services
  • Maintain organized records and manage correspondence via email and phone
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy and welcoming at all times, including sweeping, moping and deep cleaning all lobby surfaces
  • Lifting heavy items such as food bags and dog beds
  • Able to work on your feet in an extremely fast paced work environment
  • Build a company culture around “Making Dogs Happy”
  • MUST LOVE DOGS, including the noise, the hair, the messes, and all the smiles!!

 Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent work experience; Vet office experience preferred
  • Passionate about great customer service and high-quality pet care
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry software
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills with a focus on exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Previous experience in office or administrative roles demonstrating professionalism and reliability
  • Ability to build client relationships
  • Sales Goal oriented
  • Demonstrate experience in Decision Making
  • Must possess ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization
  • Must have your own reliable transportation
  • Must work a minimum of 3 shifts per week totaling a minimum of 15 hours
  • Must be a punctual candidate with flexible or open availability, including WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS, as we are open for business 365 days a year.
