Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Hours: 12hr shifts

Position Summary

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fleet diesel vehicles and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, compliance, and maximum uptime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) services.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and driveline systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Respond to breakdowns and road calls as needed.
• Complete work orders, inspections, and maintenance records accurately.
• Follow DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate repair needs and vehicle status to supervision.

Required Qualifications

• 2–5 years of diesel mechanic experience (fleet experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicle systems.
• Ability to read repair manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain).

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Overtime, on-call, or weekend work may be required.
