ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Package material for shipping
- ·Unpack received goods, verify count and stock in assigned location
- Load and unload trucks and move material around the plant with fork truck and pallet jack
- Participate in the effort to ensure smooth, controlled flow of materials.
- Maintain a safe working environment and a commitment to safety excellence.
- Maintain clean, organized shipping, receiving, and inventory areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements below are the minimum requirements an employee needs to fulfill this position. They are representative of the knowledge, skills and ability required for the position.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience
- 3 years of experience in production operations. Prior experience with shipping and receiving tasks is desired.
- Fork truck license, current
Language
- Strong oral and written communications skills. Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with persons at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Must be able to operate material handling equipment, including a fork truck.
- Must have light carpentry skills, including the ability to use small power tools.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use a computer for long periods of time.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must not have issues related to handling metals including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, heated mechanical parts, adhesive fumes, airborne particles, and energized electrical systems. Moderate noise levels are present for limited periods of time. Appropriate PPE will be supplied.
