What You'll Do

The Quality Assurance Inspector independently inspects parts, materials, vendor supplies, and customer returns, as well as in-process production, to ensure compliance with quality standards. They verify supplier adherence to company quality programs, issue acceptance or rejection tags, document rejected items, and route paperwork to maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and accounting records.

  • Conduct inspections on first articles, customer returns, in-process items, and incoming materials; complete final inspections and verify staged products before shipment.
  • Perform physical and visual inspections of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies per specifications; ensure product identification and traceability.
  • Verify supplier certificates of analysis, generate certificates of conformance, and review inspection recordings from other areas.
  • Support investigations of Non-Conformance reports and assist with material setup in SAP (QM notifications, QIR codes, etc.).
  • Attend operational meetings and provide concise updates on quality-related topics; input key inspection metrics for trending and monitoring.
  • Read and interpret specifications and drawings; collaborate with personnel to resolve inspection and material questions.
  • Follow all quality, safety, housekeeping procedures, and company policies; perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:45pm-2:15am (Central Time) with OT on most Fridays

What We’re Looking For

  • Two-year technical degree preferred but not required; experience with quality programs (ISO, ASTM, GMP) a plus.
  • General computer skills required; able to maintain accurate records and input data into Excel databases.
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes, including inspection, testing, sampling, and sorting of products.
  • Comfortable with basic machinery and able to learn equipment test procedures as needed.
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Works cooperatively with employees at all levels and actively supports Peli’s Quality and Safety objectives.
  • Flexible with working hours and committed to continuous improvement.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The annual U.S. pay range for this position is listed below. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
