Program Administration Eligibility Specialist (Temporary Role)
Location: Austin, TX
Hourly Rate: $20/hr
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.

Initial 3-month position from start date, with the possibility of a 3-month extension and potential for a full-time role thereafter.

Office-based role located at 8911 N. Capital of Texas Hwy. with potential for remote work following the initial period.

Monitors upcoming financial eligibility renewal dates weekly via state portal, available reporting (internal or external), and/or paper mail, and communicates with program staff regarding individuals whose eligibility is about to expire.

Enters individual financial eligibility data into systems weekly to support accurate reporting and timely billing of services provided by local staff.

Maintains files with eligibility information by client.

Where Sevita is representative payee, assembles, completes, and submits applications, appeals, or other forms related to financial eligibility, partnering with field and functional teams as needed for supporting documentation.

Researches complex eligibility issues via payer websites or by phone, and communicates directly with state, payer, or other external partners as needed to resolve outstanding issues.

Communicates with program staff to alert field or functional teams of potential blockers, escalations, or delays preventing timely financial eligibility processing.

Reviews AR Aging and collaborates with AR team members, functional partners, or local office staff on eligibility-related billing issues; prepares supporting documentation for eligibility-related sales adjustments (e.g., gaps in coverage).

Where Sevita is not representative payee, supports field teams with escalation questions as a subject matter expert on state expectations and timing.

Performs other related duties and activities as required.

Government relations and health and human services experience preferred.

High school diploma or GED required.
