A strong candidate will have a genuine desire to help others and be willing to provide customer service to Janney’s Financial Advisors and staff in the field. In addition to core daily responsibilities, an ideal candidate would also be able to run small projects, identify and implement process improvements, and have experience or interest in forms and/or process design.
What you are good at:
- Customer Service – Demonstrating the ability to build and foster strong client relationships through service; Able to follow up on time sensitive issues with all home office departments
- Communication –Providing excellent telephone service to clients and potential clients, including prompt, accurate, and timely attention to detail. Able to compose effective client correspondence in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Initiative - Proactively utilizing available technology and tools to support efficient and effective time management.
- Building Relationships – Connecting with others in a way that fosters trust and creates collaborative relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Educate staff in field offices on retirement products over the phone.
- Review retirement transactions for accuracy.
- Conduct user testing for internal systems.
- Work closely with teammates to share workload.
- Review exception reports for adjustments or corrections.
- Process advanced retirement transactions.
- Settle deceased accounts and process payments to beneficiaries.
- Collaborate effectively with other Operations teams to solve problems.
- Lead and/or participate in small projects both within and outside of the team.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the manager.
What you have:
- College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated success with customer service.
- Demonstrated success working on a team.
- Experience with form design, or Adobe LiveCycle preferred.
- At least two years supporting IRAs and/or Qualified Retirement Plans a plus.
- Strong eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively during high-volume times of the year.
- Willingness to obtain FINRA Series 99 or Series 7 licenses.
- Sense of ownership and accountability.
This role will be hybrid, the individual will work approximately three days per week in-office.
