Norterra BackLot - Runner - Full-time / Part-time

The runner's primary responsibility is providing exceptional guest services by efficiently, safely, and accurately delivering food offerings to guests.

Essential Functions

• Greet guests and make them feel comfortable by establishing a personal connection.
• Communicate promptly, courteously, and effectively with all guests, management, and fellow team members.
• Be knowledgeable about the BackLot brand and items sold to be able to answer questions and make recommendations.
• Deliver food and beverage orders to all tables/guests to Harkins’ standards.
• Provide exemplary service to include refilling beverages and clearing tables/seats, while exceeding guest expectations.
• Consistently collect dishes for the wash station.
• Clean and sanitize tables thoroughly for the next service.
• Follow all safety procedures including proper disposal of broken glassware.
• Assist with restocking server stations.
• Maintain an organized work area for ease of service.
• Able to prioritize and work on multiple projects and tasks with frequent interruptions while maintaining flexibility and composure.

Additional Duties

• Regular attendance and physical presence at the work site. 
• Stay informed of daily operations, special events, promotions, and updated policies/procedures.
• Assist the team with additional tasks and/or special projects, as assigned.
• Requires bending, stretching, reaching, squatting, twisting, standing, walking up and down stairs and on flat surfaces, lifting (up to 50 pounds), interacting with guests and employees, problem solving, and cognitive skills.

Education/Skills/Experience

• Required to be at least 16 years of age.
• Required to obtain and maintain a current food handler’s card and/or food safety certification.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, loud environment, with multiple flashing lights, while in a standing position for extended periods of time.
• Capable of remaining calm and using good judgment in all situations.
