Mechanical Assembler

We are hiring Mechanical Assemblers in the Binghamton, NY area.

What You Will Do

• Operate hand and power tools for mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electronic assembly
• Receive required parts and follow step-by-step diagrams and work instructions to assemble or reassemble low mix/high volume sub-assembly components
• Visually inspect your work prior to the next operation and make adjustments as needed
• Follow standard work procedures to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
• Teardown, clean, repair, rebuild, and reassemble previously built assemblies as required
• Use a computer system to monitor inventory levels and notify a supervisor of shortages
• Stack and move materials according to safety procedures
• Operate overhead cranes/hoists and lift trucks to move heavy materials (as required)

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of stable work history
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

What Sets You Apart

• Mechanically inclined
• Experience using manual and power hand tools
• Previous assembly, manufacturing, or related experience

Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Overtime is based on business needs, which may include Saturdays.

Compensation & Benefits

$19.26 per hour
