ACLC is looking for an experienced Software Manager with specialized expertise supporting the iSMART process and associated software tool sets used by DoD acquisition programs. Software Developer will deliver user training and assistance, provide technical guidance, and assist in documenting Tactical Data Link (TDL) implementations to identify and resolve interoperability problems.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and serve as a point of contact for users of the iSMART process and associated software tool, answering questions and providing help-desk support for acquisition programs and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain training materials to reflect the latest toolset releases and MIL-STD baselines.
  • Conduct formal training sessions and coordinating with the software vendor as needed.
  • Instruct users on methodologies for documenting detailed system implementation data using the iSMART process and toolset.
  • Gather and analyze user feedback to improve training effectiveness and instructional materials.
  • Research and develop background papers, staff studies, talking papers, and presentation materials to support program objectives and Government requests.
  • Ensure training content incorporates current MIL-STD Interface Change Proposals (ICPs) and accurately reflects system implementation requirements.
  • Coordinate with program offices and stakeholders to provide guidance on using iSMART to support interoperability and acquisition decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's degree in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, or information technology.
  • USAF Program Management Experience: Minimum of four (4) years managing or supporting USAF programs.
  • Certification: Possession of a current Security+ certification.
  • IT Project and Data Management Experience: At least two (2) years of experience organizing and managing IT projects and associated data.
  • iSMART Tool Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience with the iSMART process and software toolsets.
  • TDL Network and Military Standards Experience: At least one (1) year of experience with Tactical Data Link networks and familiarity with applicable MIL-STDs (3011, 6011, 6016, 6017, 6020, 6040, 188-220, and 2045-47001).
  • Strong instructional, communication, and documentation skills for delivering effective technical training and preparing supporting materials.

Security Clearance: Applicant must be a US Citizen and able to obtain the required security clearance for the position.

Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Lifting to 40 lbs.
