Full Time Housekeeper/Laundress West Hollywood & Malibu

A private family is seeking a full-time Housekeeper/Laundress to join their fully staffed and long-standing household team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a collaborative, well-established staff. The role requires flexibility between the family's primary residence in West Hollywood and their secondary home in Malibu.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend flexibility required when the family returns from travel or hosts events. You will report directly to the Mrs. and her Assistant.

Position Overview

This role will focus heavily on laundry care while also assisting with general housekeeping duties as needed. While the family does not require a seasoned career laundress, strong hands-on laundry experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Washing, drying, ironing, steaming, and folding garments and linens
• Expert stain identification and removal across a variety of fabrics
• Proper handling of delicate, high-end, and specialty garments
• Coordinating with dry cleaners, tracking items sent out and returned
• Inspecting garments upon return and noting stains, damage, or imperfections
• Maintaining laundry room organization and inventory
• Supporting general housekeeping tasks as needed
• Assisting with event preparation and post-event reset when required
• Upholding high standards of cleanliness, discretion, and organization

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a private home with hands-on laundry responsibilities
• Knowledge of fabric care, garment construction, and stain treatment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexible schedule with occasional weekend availability
• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation for travel between West Hollywood and Malibu
