CDL-A Truck Driver (Local to Decatur, IN - Home Daily) - Full-time

This position is based out of Decatur, Indiana.  

Qualifications:

· Must have a legal and active driver’s license with CDL-A endorsement and a current DOT physical (or willing to complete physical)

· Tractor/trailer driving experience: 1 year

· Candidates subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks

Job Summary:

Grey Wolf Transportation is a local carrier. Most pick-ups are completed in Elkhart County and brought to our warehouse located in Elkhart. Long hauls are approximately 2.5 hours one-way. We are able to offer a flexible schedule with staggered start and end times and even overnight hauls available. Full and part time hours available. Overtime is paid at 45 hours.

The Tractor/Trailer Driver is responsible for safely driving product to and from customer locations as directed. At times, the driver may be required to move material using a provided pallet jack. Drivers are responsible to ensure that product loaded on their trucks is not damaged in transit and that weight limits are not exceeded. At times, drivers may be asked to drive enclosed trailers, empty trailers, refrigerated trailers and flatbeds. Driver ranges are within 150 air miles of Elkhart, IN.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Safely delivering freight at various locations within 150 air miles of Elkhart, IN

· Use GPS and follow given directions to get from customer to customer by the most efficient route

· Perform truck and trailer inspections before departure to ensure good running order as well as minor service checks as needed

· Strong communication with dispatch to ensure pickups and communicate delays

· Safely operate a pallet jack to move and secure product within the trailer as necessary and obtain receiving signatures and necessary paperwork

· Work in a truck cab, warehouse and outdoor environment that is subject to cold/hot weather as the seasons change

· Maintain a valid driver’s license with required endorsements and DOT certifications

Physical Requirements:

· Ability move material within the truck trailers using a pallet jack

· Ability to get in and out of trucks and trailers as needed to inspect freight when loaded

· Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time in a warehouse or vehicle as necessary

· Truck cab and warehouse environment is subject to seasonal weather conditions
