Opportunity:
Physician - Oncology
Job Details:
• Diagnose and stage various cancers through thorough clinical assessments, imaging, and laboratory tests
• Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies
• Monitor and manage patient progress, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary
• Manage treatment-related side effects and provide supportive care to enhance patient quality of life
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and potential outcomes
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families throughout the cancer journey
• Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, certified oncology nurses, nurse practitioners, and oncology navigators
• Participate in clinical trials, research initiatives, and quality improvement projects
• Stay current on clinical guidelines, treatment breakthroughs, and evidence-based practices in oncology
• Mentor and provide guidance to other healthcare staff in oncology-related practices
• Part-time schedule (~24 hours/week) with rotating call and weekend schedule
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology
• Requires active Vermont license and clean malpractice history
• Must have completed accredited residency program in United States or Canada
• Not open to visa candidates or locum positions
