We are seeking an experienced Locum Tenens OB/GYN physician to join a collaborative team at a well-established hospital in Richmond, VA. This role entails both outpatient office work and hospital care for OB/GYN patients, with an emphasis on low-risk pregnancies. You will work alongside a team of skilled physicians and midwives, providing high-quality patient care. The assignment begins May 1, 2026, and continues through August 31, 2026.
Key Details- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens- Setting: Hospital and Outpatient Office- Start Date: May 1, 2026- Schedule: Varied; office hours 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; includes 24-hour call- Patient Population: Adult- Location: Richmond, VA- Stipends: Lodging and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities- Manage a diverse range of OB/GYN cases focusing on low-risk pregnancies- Perform gynecological surgeries as needed - Provide comprehensive care for obstetrics including routine deliveries, C-sections, and managing complications- Conduct ultrasounds and various gynecological procedures
Qualifications- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN- Active Virginia medical license (or willingness to obtain)- Must be local; only mileage is reimbursed- BLS/ACLS certified- Self-query NPDB report required
Working Hours- Office schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM- Call schedule: 24-hour on-call, included within regular weekday office time
Skills- Expertise in low to high-risk pregnancy management- Proficient in OB ultrasounds and various gynecological procedures- Strong decision-making skills for labor and delivery, including VBACs and complex cases- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
