Job Description
Join a leading not-for-profit community hospital in the beautiful town of Brattleboro, Vermont! We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff MD in Oncology to become part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. This part-time position allows you to provide personalized, patient-centered cancer care in an outpatient clinic setting while making a significant impact in the lives of patients and their families. With opportunities to participate in clinical trials and advancements in oncology, you will work in a supportive and professional environment.
Job Responsibilities:- Diagnose and stage various cancers through clinical assessments, imaging, and laboratory tests.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
- Monitor and manage patient progress, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary.
- Manage treatment-related side effects and provide supportive care.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnosis, treatment options, and potential outcomes.
- Provide emotional support and counseling throughout the cancer journey.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in clinical trials and quality improvement projects.
- Stay current on clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.
- Mentor and guide other healthcare staff in oncology practices.
- Contribute to patient care planning and department initiatives for improved outcomes.

- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology (REQUIRED)
- Clean malpractice history (REQUIRED)
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) (REQUIRED)
- Active Vermont License (must be obtained prior to start) (REQUIRED)
- Completion of an accredited oncology residency program in the United States or Canada (REQUIRED)
- Active Vermont medical license
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Oncology
- Clean malpractice history
