Physician Surgery-General - Competitive Salary

Position Highlights

• Typical Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (practice-dependent)

• ❌ Must reside within 1-hour commute

Scope of Practice

You will provide comprehensive surgical care across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and wound care settings, including:

• Hernia repair

• Cholecystectomy

• Appendectomy

• Endoscopy

• Colorectal surgery

• Small bowel obstruction management

• Skin & soft tissue procedures

• Multidisciplinary wound care management

You’ll collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, PAs, perioperative teams, ED physicians, hospitalists, and wound care specialists to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Compensation & Incentives

• Base Salary: $285,000 – $320,000 annually

• Additional productivity-based incentives

• Compensation aligned with Vermont Act 155

✅ Requirements

• MD or DO from accredited medical school

• Completion of General Surgery Residency (required)

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery

• Active Vermont Medical License

• DEA (required prior to start)

• CPR Certification

• Strong proficiency in general surgical procedures

• Clean malpractice history

• NPDB self-query (within 30 days)
