Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our busy established repair shop in North Tonawanda, NY. As an Truck Mechanic, you will assist our customers by diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicles performance and function.

As an Truck Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment, preparing repair worksheets, and maintaining a welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with customers, able to explain vehicle issues clearly and provide accurate advice. Works well individually and is team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as drum/shoes/brake pad installations and oil changes
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
• Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Works well individually and with a team
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required
• NYS Inspection License (preferred)
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Clean background and driving history
• Drug tests required
• US citizen required
