Senior Accountant

Description:

Hennig, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee core accounting functions, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and support month-end and year-end close processes. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

· Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations

· Participate in month-end and year-end close processes

· Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements

· Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

· Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits

· Review and improve accounting processes and internal controls

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial and operational matters

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)

· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

· Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

· Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)

· Advanced Excel skills

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

· Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

· CPA or CPA-track

· Experience in manufacturing

· Prior experience in a senior or lead accounting role
