Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders across diverse patient populations, with a focus on pediatrics and early intervention. This role involves collaborating with families, educators, and medical professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders in patients of all ages, with an emphasis on pediatric populations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, including early intervention strategies.
  • Provide evidence-based speech therapy interventions to improve articulation, language comprehension, voice, fluency, and social communication skills.
  • Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust therapy approaches as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about communication disorders and strategies for ongoing support at home and in educational settings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, educators, and occupational therapists to coordinate care plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and compliance records in accordance with clinical standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development activities.

Requirements

  • Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Prior experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions, and medical terminology.
  • Experience conducting patient assessments and developing effective treatment plans for various communication disorders.
  • Familiarity with early intervention practices and the ability to work effectively with young children.
  • Excellent patient care skills combined with compassionate communication abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with patients' families.
  • Knowledge of anatomy related to speech production and physiology is preferred.
