Journeyman Electrician (Residential & Commercial Service Technician) – Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled Journeyman Electrician to handle service work in both residential and commercial settings. This role focuses on troubleshooting electrical issues, performing repairs and replacements, and completing installations with strong workmanship and customer service. You’ll diagnose problems, explain solutions clearly to customers, follow NEC and local code requirements, and complete clean, professional work from start to finish. Typical jobs include panel and breaker replacements, lighting repairs/upgrades, receptacles and switches, dedicated circuits, GFCI/AFCI troubleshooting, service upgrades, and general electrical maintenance. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, able to work independently in the field, and comfortable using a service mindset—communicating well, documenting work, and representing the company professionally. Must have a valid driver’s license, company vehicle will be provided, and the ability to work on-call or after-hours as needed.
