This role includes night shift coverage with EPIC documentation and access to air and ground support for patient transfers.

  • 08/14/2026, 08/16/2026, 08/17/2026, 08/22/2026, 08/24/2026
• ED size: 15 beds
• Patient volume: Average 65 patients/day; 22,250 annual inpatient census (per facility data)

Clinical Scope

• Emergency department evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and disposition
• Management of acute medical and traumatic presentations
• Coordination of admissions, transfers, and discharges as clinically appropriate
• Documentation and order entry in EPIC
• Collaboration with nursing and hospital-based support teams
• Utilization of air and ground support for patient transfers as needed

Requirements

• Degree: MD
• Minimum 2 years Emergency Medicine experience
• Active North Carolina medical license
• BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications through AHA
• Board-certified Emergency Medicine physician preferred
• EPIC experience required (EMR use in the role)

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certification or board eligibility in Emergency Medicine
• Experience as FM physician with emergency experience (accepted for this opportunity)
