Position Highlights:

• Location: Saint Francis, KS (Central Time Zone)
• Facility: Cheyenne County Hospital (Critical Access Facility)
• Specialty: Medical-Surgical / Obstetrics (OB) Hybrid RN
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed (Blocked scheduling available)
• Target Start Date: 07/13/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks

Unit Dynamics & Hybrid Scope:

• Maternal-Child Care: Manage labor progression, fetal monitoring strip interpretation, provider delivery assistance, APGAR scoring, breastfeeding support, and immediate postpartum stabilization.
• Cross-Coverage: Maintain flexibility to float seamlessly to adult Med/Surg floors or provide stabilization/triage support to the 24-hour Emergency Department.
• Leadership: Serve as a Charge Nurse on designated shifts, overseeing daily unit operations, admissions, and nursing assignments based on floor acuity.

Position Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of recent, acute hospital Med/Surg and core L&D/Obstetrics experience. Must be fully confident handling independent maternal/neonatal emergency protocols in a rural setting.
• Certifications Required: Active AHA BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Licensure: Active Kansas or Compact RN license in hand.
• Schedule Flexibility: Must participate in the shared OB on-call schedule as assigned.
